Backend Developer (Java & Kotlin)

📍 Remote | Full-time We are looking for a skilled Back-End Developer with strong experience in Java or Kotlin to join a high-impact engineering team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend services that power key systems. This role requires strong backend fundamentals, hands-on microservices development experience, and a passion for delivering robust solutions in a collaborative environment. 🔧 Scope of Work • Design, develop, and maintain Spring Boot-based microservices with RESTful APIs and database integrations. • Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure reliability and maintainability. • Enhance observability and monitoring of microservices for performance and reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and technical program managers to understand business needs and translate them into scalable backend solutions. • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and advocate for software development best practices across the team. ✅ Qualifications • Proficiency in Kotlin or Java with a strong understanding of backend development. • Proven experience designing scalable, performant, and observable backend systems. • Solid knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and working with both relational and non-relational databases. • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks for backend systems. • Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes for cloud-native application development and deployment. • Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices: version control, build processes, CI/CD, testing, and deployment. • Ability to work across ambiguous requirements and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. 💡 Nice to Have • Experience working in agile and distributed teams. • Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog. • Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs.
