Bookkeeper (RVA)

Job Title: Remote Bookkeeper Job Type: Full-time About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with financial reporting. You should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy. Key Responsibilities: • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process • Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial statements • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payments • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports • Maintain general ledger accuracy and support month-end and year-end closing processes • Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies • Collaborate with accountants and management to support audits and tax filing preparation • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records • Maintain organized digital financial files and documentation Requirements • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, or similar role • Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets • High attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely • Good communication and collaboration skills • Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
