Job Description

Role Description: The Director will be responsible for managing case teams and serving as the primary point of contact for the client, counsel, and regulatory agencies. Directors will oversee the daily tasks and projects for each case as well as plan and prepare for upcoming case events and milestones. More specifically, they will be responsible for overseeing noticing projects, website deployment and updates, contact info management, data management, processing and reconciling filed claims, managing claimant communication, managing client reporting requirements, coordinating and assisting on all distributions, and anticipating future needs based on the case timeline and pleadings filed. At times, Directors may be asked to assist in developing / enhancing software applications, creating and formalizing procedures and engaging in training of junior staff. Some travel may be required based on business needs but should be no more than 10% of the time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage relationships with clients and other professionals • Anticipate client needs throughout the engagement and provide solutions to meet those needs • Manage projects or tasks as required by the case • Prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines and allocate resources as needed • Work effectively with task-specific departments (e.g., noticing, disbursement, call center) 6. Directly execute, coordinate and/or oversee: a. Collection, management and maintenance of large volumes of data b. Notice to claimants, including large-scale mailings and publication noticing c. Development of case websites and online claim form portals d. Review and reconciliation of data based on scheduled and filed claim information e. Address collection, updates and validation projects f. Preparation and updates to claim register and other client reports g. Timely and accurate management of claimant / investor inquiries h. Disbursement projects, including collection of tax information • Participate in development / enhancement of existing technology • Engage effectively with IT staff on production and development-related projects • Manage case team and measure performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques 10. Communicate effectively with Managing Director on status of all cases / projects Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years’ related experience in managing receivership cases or in a related claims-management industry (e.g., bankruptcy). • Candidates with a JD, prior experience as a senior paralegal in a law firm, or with experience in a financial advisory or accounting firm are preferred. • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal • Superb customer service skills; can build rapport with clients and other professionals • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality work • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-paced, multi-task environment with attention to detail • Ability to interface with team members and client personnel in deadline-driven situations • Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to challenging deadlines, changing deliverables, and evolving task priorities • Dependable with respect to confidentiality and company policies • Excellent organizational skills • Adept problem solver • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel • Experience managing data / working with database applications (coding skills are a plus) Stretto is an equal-opportunity employer. The Company’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data.
