Lead Backend Engineer

We are seeking an exceptionally talented Lead Backend Engineer to join our rapidly growing consulting team. Location Fully Remote/ European Residence required Compensation Salary Work Schedule Full time/ Flexible working hours Reports to Head of Engineering Member of Engineering Team To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications: • 10+ years development experience with backend technologies, including experience with modern backend architecture (i.e. microservices, etc.) • Significant development experience with C# and .NET. • Experience building and deploying solutions on cloud services (Azure preferred) • Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, distributed applications using independent services, focusing on APIs, containers, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and CI/CD. • Hands-on experience contributing to AI/ML-enabled products, such as integrating ML models or AI services into production backend systems (e.g., APIs, pipelines, inference services). • Experience collaborating with ML/AI specialists to translate models into scalable, reliable backend solutions (deployment, monitoring, performance, data flow). • Team Leadership and management experience • Fast learner with a can-do attitude and exceptional problem-solving abilities • Self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable working collaboratively on remote projects • English skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English) • A degree in computer science (or equivalent) Ideal candidates will also have: • Experience in a client-facing role managing and delivering software engineering projects • Experience architecting solutions on modern backend platforms • Experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) • Strong understanding of DevOps concepts/process and CI/CD tools • Understanding of React.js and its core principles.
