About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Australian Bookkeeper (Team Lead Role) to join our growing team. This role combines advanced hands-on bookkeeping with leadership responsibilities. You will manage a portfolio of Australian clients while guiding and supporting a team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial services. This is an ideal role for a senior-level PH bookkeeper ready to take the next step into a leadership position, while still staying close to work. Key Responsibilities• Manage bookkeeping services for multiple Australian clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Oversee daily transactional processing including AP, AR, and bank reconciliations. • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including STP, PAYG, superannuation, and awards interpretation. • Prepare, review, and lodge BAS and IAS in line with ATO requirements. • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and/or MYOB. • Prepare and review financial and management reports for clients. • Act as a primary contact for client queries, updates, and escalations. • Review work prepared by junior bookkeepers before submission to clients or accountants. • Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to the bookkeeping team. • Lead onboarding and system setup for new clients. • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client experience. • Record daily timesheets accurately in XPM for productivity and billing tracking. • Support workflow coordination and documentation to ensure transparency and compliance. • Perform ad hoc Bookkeeping and administrative tasks when needed.
