About the role
Sporty is seeking a TA Sourcing Team Lead to drive our global talent sourcing strategy across both Technical and Commercial functions.
You will lead and mentor a growing team of sourcers while maintaining a hands-on approach to uncover high-potential candidates for departments including but not limited to Engineering, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Operations. You will work hand-in-hand with the wider Talent Acquisition team to build robust pipelines and ensure hiring managers have access to top-tier talent.
This is a leadership role, ideal for someone with deep sourcing expertise who is ready to mentor a team, refine strategy, and contribute to scaling a fast-paced, global company.
What you'll be doing
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sourcers, driving performance and ensuring best practices across Technical and Commercial domains
• Build and maintain advanced sourcing pipelines for a diverse range of roles, from Software Engineers and Product Managers to Marketing and Finance leaders
• Utilise and train the team on LinkedIn Recruiter, X-ray search, and niche platforms (e.g. GitHub, StackOverflow, Behance, etc.) to identify hard-to-find talent
• Analyse sourcing metrics and conversion rates to optimise strategies and report on team performance to leadership
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and define ideal candidate profiles
• Screen senior-level candidate profiles, assess culture fit, and manage the hand-off to recruiters
• Act as a subject matter expert on market trends, market mapping, competitive intelligence, and creative sourcing channels within the European market and beyond
• Contribute to employer branding initiatives to attract passive candidates in a competitive market
What you'll bring
• 5+ years of total experience in recruitment or sourcing, with at least 2 years of experience in a Lead or Senior capacity
• Proven experience sourcing for both Technical (Engineering, Product, Data) and Commercial (Marketing, Finance, Ops) roles
• Expert knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean logic, X-ray search, and alternative sourcing platforms
• Experience managing or mentoring other sourcers/recruiters, with the ability to drive KPIs and team motivation
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Strong data and analytics expertise; comfortable using metrics to guide decision-making and strategy
• Ability to work well in a remote / distributed team environment across European time zones
• Agility to switch focus quickly between high-volume technical roles and niche commercial searches
